Through a network of traditional healers spanning eight states, JJVS has provided medical treatment to thousands of community residents as well as soldiers of the BSF, CISF, and SSB. For thousands of years, these ancient Indian healers, known as Gunis, have used manual methods and regional medicinal plants to treat common ailments.

JJVS has established the following Federations, Committees, and Groups to empower community leadership. Our village's institutions have amassed 3.5 million rupees for family health, education, agriculture, and social loans to break the cycle of poverty. This amount is the equivalent of about 13,000 community members' daily requirements. These are the initial actions towards ending the poverty cycle.

With the assistance of traditional female healers, local women, the challenge of deeply ingrained social taboos, and the production and distribution of inexpensive sanitary pads, JJVS' female health project aims to improve the management of menstrual health for women and girls.
JJVS also works to dispel social stigmas and misconceptions around menstruation health by empowering women who are already practicing traditional healing to become change agents in this area. In order to establish a distribution network and give local women job opportunities, JJVS also produces and distributes sanitary pads locally.
