Education For Every Girls
In the state of Rajasthan, the birth of a girl child is not as warmly welcomed as that of a boy. Gender discrimination is prevalent both at home and in schools. According to data from DISE (District Information System for Education), in 2008-09, there were 1.05 million girls enrolled in Class I. However, by 2016-17, the number of girls enrolled in Class IX dropped significantly to only 530,000. This indicates that nearly half of the girls drop out before reaching secondary school. A survey conducted by Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan reveals the numerous challenges faced by these children in pursuit of education. The economic conditions of their families often prevent parents from affording school expenses such as study materials, leading many intelligent, talented, and ambitious students to abandon their education. Moreover, the recent pandemic has worsened the financial situation of these families, further inhibiting the girl child from acquiring essential educational materials. Addressing this pressing issue, the promotion of girl child education becomes paramount. Census data from 2011 shows that the literacy rate in rural areas of Ajmer district is 59.13%. Male literacy stands at 76.45%, while female literacy lags at 41.29%. This discrepancy underscores the dominance of a male-dominated society. To combat these challenges and support marginalized girls in rural areas, Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan initiates a comprehensive program. They provide educational materials such as school bags, notebooks, pens, pencils, colors, books, school uniforms, shoes, socks, and stationery kits. Additionally, they offer hygiene kits- sanitary napkins, handkerchiefs, hair oil, buckets, cloth washing soap, bathing soap, toothbrush and paste sets, nail cutters, etc. To address nutritional needs, nutrition kits containing items like black gram, soybean, moong dal, chawla, and rajma are also distributed. The selection process for girl beneficiaries is meticulously

Education for Every Girls
In the state of Rajasthan, the birth of girl child not welcomed as it does with boys. Discrimination on the basis of gender is common in school and home. As per the DISE, in 2008-09, there were 1.05 million girls enrolled in Class I. In 2016-17, the number of girls enrolled in Class IX was only 530,000. This implies that half the girls drop out before entering secondary school. The random survey of Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan reveals that these children have to face so many problems to be educated. It is not feasible for the parents to meet the school expenses (study material) due to the poor economic conditions of their families which leads intelligent, talented and ambitious students to get miles away from school education. Also, the pandemic has created a very bad effect on the earning source of these people and this has become another reason for girl child not getting her education materials. The promotion of girl child education is the need of the hour. Literacy rate in rural areas of Ajmer district is 59.13 % as per census 2011. Gender wise, male and female literacy stood at 76.45 and 41.29 percent respectively. Female literacy rate is not very good. This literacy rate indicates the dominance of a male dominated society. To promote the girl child education and to support rural marginalized girls in their education in this conservative thinking society, Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan provides educational materials stuff such as school bag, notebooks, pen, pencils, colors, books, school uniform, school shoes &socks, stationery kit and hygiene kit (sanitary napkin, handkerchief, hair oil, bucket, cloth washing soap, bathing soap, toothbrush and paste set, nail cutter, etc.) and nutrition kit (Black gram, Soyabean, Moong Dal, Chawla, Rajma) to rural marginalized intelligent girl students and the program is conducted in different rural villages. Our team goes door to door for the selection of the girl beneficiaries while actually watching the condition of the family as well as the grades of the girl in the school itself. The rural needy intelligent girl students gets support of a year’s education material through this program and also have hygiene kit through this program. RSKS India provides equal opportunities for education to poor deprived school girls by distributing education, hygiene and nutrition stuff among them. Also, awareness sessions on WASH, sexual and reproductive health, balanced diet & nutrition are organized with the school students through regular monthly workshops. RSKS India team goes to the school every month to check the performance of the girls and the benefit of the education materials she got. RSKS India team supports these girls for continuously for a year so that they could complete their studies without any problem and would be going regularly at school. This initiative boosted the girl child education in the rural areas and the intelligent rural marginalized girls got the opportunity to change their lives through getting education, hygiene and nutrition stuff they needed to study diligently.
