Programs

  • Rural Healthcare

The ECS (Eleutheros Christian Society) program in Nagaland plays a transformative role in rural health, particularly enhancing primary healthcare, maternal and child services. By prioritizing accessible, quality care, ECS addresses vital health needs in remote areas, where resources are limited. The program also empowers communities through health education and advocacy, fostering local accountability and involvement in health initiatives. Through collaborative efforts with local health workers, ECS ensures consistent maternal and child health monitoring, immunizations, and awareness drives, ultimately reducing health disparities and nurturing healthier, self-sustaining communities across Nagaland.

  • Livelihood

The ECS Livelihood Program is dedicated to empowering marginalized farmers through sustainable farming practices that enhance productivity and resilience. By providing hands-on training, it equips farmers with modern techniques that are environmentally friendly and economically viable. ECS also fosters crucial market linkages, connecting farmers to profitable avenues and promoting financial stability. Collaborations with notable partners like NEIDA and NABARD further amplify the program's impact, enabling resource access and broader support. Together, these efforts create a transformative ecosystem that improves livelihoods and promotes sustainable agriculture for rural communities.

Milestones & Track Record

ECS received the Nagaland Governor's Medal in 2003, was visited by former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, and won a Rs 5 crore HCL Grant in 2018 for its work in healthcare.
