The facility offers a secure place for the kids of sex workers, especially after dark when the streets are at their most perilous and the moms are at Read morework. Currently, New Light provides services to over 250 kids across many age groups. Education, healthcare, nutrition assistance, recreational facilities, HIV/AIDS care, chances for women to generate income, and residential care for a large number of the community's young children are among the services provided by New Light. New Light's operations also encompass activism against gender-based violence and legal aid. The New Light Shelter provides care for children from the Dalit community, including those whose parents labor in municipal crematoriums and are considered untouchables. These children live in similarly dangerous situations, are exposed to violence, and face discrimination and societal shame even if they are not the offspring of sex workers. The kids at New Light get assistance with their formal education, remedial education, food, and medical needs.

Safe Shelter
Children are frequently left with indifferent adult supervision or are completely unattended in the alleys of numerous red-light districts, where moms are required to work in the evenings and occasionally all night. The founder of New Light and other members thought a long time ago that the community's children needed a safe and secure place to stay, so they created a program that started with an evening creche. All other New Light programs that aim to provide the highest degree of child safety and security now receive the same services.

Health Care
The New Light Clinic, tucked away in the heart of the sex worker neighbourhood, provides answers to all of the group's problems. It provides people with services they may use whenever it's convenient for them, right at their doorway. They receive compassionate, expert care and services that uphold their human rights and dignity. The goal is to offer compassionate, high-quality professional medical care and support services to people who are at risk of contracting STDs, HIV, or who are already infected and experiencing the effects of HIV and AIDS.
To raise the standard of care, expand networking and cooperation with community-based groups for positive persons, other non-governmental organizations, and government organizations involved in STD, HIV, and AIDS prevention, control, and management.
