The Purnima Foundation (TPF), an institution with strong determination to achieve the goal of socio-economical and environmental sustainability.  Our Read more unwavering pledge is to put emphasis on education, health environment conservation, and enhancing livelihoods for deprived communities and to strengthen community organizations for ensuring environmental and socio-economical sustainability. Foundation has more than seventy associates in five project areas in the remote villages of Sundarbans and Sundarbans fringe areas in West Bengal. The intervention of TPF in an urban location is primarily directed towards Education, Environment Conservation, Health & Hygiene, and Sanitation in underprivileged clusters. All benevolent initiatives taken by TPF are intended to further social goods beyond any direct interest of the organization. Our organization is well-equipped with a set of work-force having necessary competencies, skills, and expertise and is, therefore, capable of delivering successful results in an absolutely efficient manner. We believe in our strength and willingness to reach the landmark.


Action

The Foundation runs programs focused on education for underprivileged children, adolescent reproductive health, income generation for deprived women, environmental sustainability, nutrition support, and improved sanitation in slum areas.

The mission is to act for eliminating poverty, creating a clean environment, providing education and healthcare, generating livelihoods, and ensuring overall societal development.

Programs

  • Nutrition, hygiene, and clothing support

    The Foundation has maintained a longstanding partnership with Dabur India Limited, a renowned Ayurvedic products company, for widespread distribution of nutrition and hygiene essentials in rural areas. Specifically aimed at benefiting children, adolescents, and individuals with cognitive challenges, this initiative has significantly supported various rural communities in West Bengal.

    Since its inception in 2016, this program, fully overseen by the Foundation, has received continuous support from Dabur. During this time, over 5,000 individuals in West Bengal have benefited from provisions of food, clothing, and hygiene supplies. Praised widely within the served communities, the program has garnered attention for its popularity, significance, and positive impact, paving the way for further expansion and development.

Milestones & Track Record

The Foundation has established 3 free coaching centers for underprivileged children, launched a micro-enterprise program benefiting over 200 women, and sensitized nearly 1,000 adolescents on reproductive health.
