In the Indian context, women entrepreneurs bear the dual responsibility of managing both their families and businesses. They strive relentlessly to pr Read moreove their competence and achieve success in both realms. Unfortunately, any setbacks in their business endeavours often lead to their exclusion from commercial activities, preventing them from taking risks again. India, on the cusp of becoming a developed nation, sets high standards for every industry and business to thrive. Women, who often face limitations in terms of access to information, finance, technology, markets, and policies, require platforms like MAWE (Madhya Pradesh Association of Women Entrepreneurs) to ensure sustainable growth. MAWE aims to empower women, whether they are already established in business or aspiring entrepreneurs, by providing comprehensive support to improve their business operations and establish a strong foothold. MAWE envisions elevating women entrepreneurs from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, providing them with exposure and opportunities to propel their businesses to new heights. The journey of MAWE is guided by the principles of the "4-I’s": 1. INNOVATOR: Encourages women to innovate, fostering creativity and new ideas. 2. INCUBATOR: The MAWE HUB supports them in incubating these ideas, helping them take shape. 3. INVESTOR: Guides them in making intelligent investments in their businesses. 4. INDUSTRIALIST: The ultimate vision is for these women to be recognized as successful industrialists, achieving their goals and making a significant impact. MAWE is committed to supporting women on their journey to success, from innovators to industrialists.

Programs

  • Business beyond borders

Business Beyond Borders is an international event tailored exclusively for women entrepreneurs in both B2B and B2C sectors. It offers invaluable networking prospects, opportunities for market expansion, and expert guidance on exporting. The event is scheduled for September 25th and 26th, taking place in Jabalpur.
This event encompasses a wide range of sessions, including engaging panel discussions, skill-building workshops, and networking opportunities. Notably, VIVIDHA - The Festive Exhibition at Business Beyond Borders offers a unique platform for women entrepreneurs from around the world to showcase their products and services to a diverse and eager audience.

  • SWEEP

Biennially, MAWE unites women entrepreneurs and champions of women's business ventures and global trade at the International Symposium and Exhibition hosted by SWEEP. SWEEP is a fusion of insights from industry leaders, a cross-border networking hub, and a wellspring of boundless inspiration. It extends invitations to policymakers from government, international organizations, civil society, and the private sector to advocate for women's entrepreneurship and strive for a more gender-balanced world. In the past two symposiums, SWEEP has consistently enhanced its offerings, catering to our delegates' requirements, strengthening established connections, and cultivating fresh ones.

  • MAWE HUB

MAWE members, often operating under the SOHO (small office/home office) concept and including rural and widowed women encouraged by MAWE to produce cottage industry goods, face challenges in accessing markets. To address this issue, MAWE HUB has been established as an initiative to offer these women a shared marketing platform and a means to test market their products. At MAWE HUB, each female vendor is required to commit just 4 hours per week for supervision and sales.
All aspects of sales, billing, and inventory management are overseen by designated staff members, with continuous supervision by two women vendors who rotate their roles at all times.
