The Centre for Life Skills Learning (CLSL) is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young individuals for holistic development. Read more Founded with a vision to assist and guide individuals in rural and tribal areas, it provides life-skill learning to enhance development in areas such as health, education, agriculture, environment, research, sports, arts, and culture. Expanding its reach to seven states in India, namely Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Manipur, the head office in Tamil Nadu coordinates various expansions. It envisions empowered and self-responsible individuals capable of making informed decisions, contributing to world peace as they grow. The organisation offers life skill education to diverse age groups within its expanded area, helping them realize their goals and maximize their potential. To reach the unreached, it empowers assumed inaccessible personalities through purposeful training, uplifting various aspects of human life, including empowerment, education, research, health, agriculture, sports, arts, and culture. Collaborating with Governmental and private institutions, organisations, and NGOs, it aims to further its vision. The programmes implemented by CLSL also prioritize risk reduction and promote social reformation to benefit future generations.

Abhyudaya Programme
The demographic dividend of India's young population demands the enhancement of skills and capabilities to tackle global issues. Empowering competent youth through skill development is vital. The project's objective is to annually train more than 25,000 youths from marginalized communities in Kerala, primarily Palakkad district. The initial batch of 120 participants from colleges, youth clubs, and community organizations, in collaboration with EKTA parishad, aims to bridge social, technological, and physiological gaps in society, ensuring their preparedness for the future.

Lakshya Programme
Lakshya is a project initiated in Palakkad, Kerala, addressing the district's high dropout rate between SSLC and HSS in schools. It targets 6000 youths across 26 institutions, aiming to uplift them through academic and non-academic support. The project operates under the supervision of the Nemmara legislative assembly, focusing on elevating dropout youth to a standard level of education and personal development.

Prithvi Programme
The project's primary goal is to safeguard the environment while educating people about ecology's significance for human existence. It aims to raise awareness regarding environmental management programmes and equip individuals to cope with natural disasters and changes. CLSL, in collaboration with the district disaster management authority (DDMA), assumes greater responsibilities by delivering essentials to reduce risks and mitigate life-threatening events. The initiative includes rescue operations, provision of temporary shelters, and the establishment of health camps.

Parivarthan Programme
In the current scenario, empowering rural women is crucial. Project Parivartan focuses on women's empowerment, particularly in rural areas. Building self-esteem in women is vital not only for themselves but also for society. Self-esteem enables them to understand their identity, desires, and what they deserve. Through ongoing skill training and interactive sessions with eminent personalities from diverse fields, the project provides rural women with an opportunity to integrate into mainstream society. This endeavour helps them realize their goals and unlock their full potential.

Raksha Programme
The Raksha project, in collaboration with Amruthavahini homeo clinic, offers medical services to underprivileged individuals lacking easy access to healthcare. Operating for three years in Palakkad district's Tribal settlements, it has significantly eased the burden for these communities in obtaining medical assistance. The project ensures regular medical check-ups and provides free medicines to those in need. Additionally, students receive vaccinations as part of the initiative.

Vayanamoola Programme
The project "Vayanamoola" began in 2018 with the mission to "Ignite the habit of reading." It offers an easily accessible rural library platform at CLSL's Vallangi office. The collection of attractive books is sourced from writers, journalists, and CLSL volunteers. Readers can access this service free of cost. Vayanamoola sparks the imagination, stimulates memory centres, aids information recall, and enhances mental strength through the reading habit.
