Laksh Foundation Education Society

The Laksh Foundation works towards creating a comprehensive approach to education which provides students with a broader understanding of subjects alo Read morengside the regular school subjects. The foundation, along with reading, writing and arithmetic also provides lessons in the areas of health and hygiene, art and craft, physical education and basic computer training. Also, it provides a nutritious meal to the students during the supplementary classes after school. The foundation works with students who range from the age group of three to eighteen years. Additionally, the classes are determined according to the academic ability of the students rather than on an age basis. This approach ensures that every child is efficiently supported in terms of academics while encouraging overall development of the student. The teaching staff working at the Foundation are local villagers who have graduated from either the 10th standard or 12th standard. The contemporary teaching methods are a combined effort of the permanent Laksh team and volunteers from the volunteer program (Warwick University, UK). The teaching staff is regularly trained to effectively demonstrate the curriculum, activities and lesson plans.
