Farm2Food Foundation focuses on empowering communities in the North East, India, harnessing their indigenous resources and skills. Despite the region' Read mores richness, it historically relied on other states for food. Farm2Food aims to change this by offering training and tools for local self-sufficiency and development. It's a non-profit that partners with communities, emphasizing sustainable farming for livelihoods. This approach not only makes households self-reliant but also enhances children's education and well-being by ensuring nutritious meals. Through selling products like vermi-compost, locals generate income, investing back into education and nutrition, creating a self-sustaining cycle. Farm 2 Food Foundation has been able to create rural women entrepreneurs like Solar Sakhi, Krishi Sakhi & Pashu Sakhi. These cadres of leaders are providing services to the communities and earning their additional income through the process.
Issue

Action
A) Empower young people to experience agri entrepreneurship through School Nutrition Garden. These gardens acts as an open science and mathematics laborartory for them to improve their academic performances. B) Build a cadre of rural based entrepreneurs like solar sakhis, Krishi Sakhis and Pashu Sakhis. They earn additional income by providing their consulation services and also setting up their own enterprises. c) Develop a cadre of youth leaders on localising food system through the principles of Agroecology.

Impact
Farm2Food Foundation has engaged 100,000 farmers, collaborated with 900 schools, involved 500 senior agripreneurs, benefiting 70,000 students through enhanced Midday Meal Programmes, and actively impacted 99,999 students through their various initiatives.

Youth for Agroecology
a) We have co created youth leadership on agroecology.
b) These youth leaders have been building a movement on localising food system.

Rural Entrepreneurship
a) Foundation has build a cadre of rural women entrepreneurs like solar sakhi, krishi sakhi, pashu sakhi. Through providing services in their communities they have been earning additional income while running their own enterprises.
b) Through these women leaders foundation has been mobilising and training several communities on organic and natural farming while adopting renewable energy solutions and scientific livestock management. -
Jagrik - Samvidhan LIVE
The Jagrik Programme by Farm2Food Foundation, in collaboration with ComMunity - the Youth Collective, introduces the Samvidhan LIVE - Jagrik Project in Assam's Jorhat and Golaghat districts. This initiative aims to cultivate social awareness and responsibility among the youth. The project functions as a real-life simulation, offering a platform for young individuals to engage with the Indian Constitution. It encourages understanding fundamental rights, duties, and values embedded in the Constitution. Through this experiential programme, participants observe the enactment of these rights and duties, providing a platform to share and report their experiences, and fostering a deeper connection to constitutional principles.

Farmers Producers Company
Two fully women leaders owned and led company has been created to foster further economic growth in the rural areas while ensuring socio and ecology impacts are balanced.
a) Seuj Women Farm and Food Producer Private Ltd. This company is engaged extensively on producing biodegradable cutlery products from waste materials. Arecanut leaves which was considered as waste product are now being used to convert into sustainable bio products.
b) Mahabali women Farm and Food Producers Private Ltd. This company is engaged in goatery management. Apart from providing all the services for livestock the company has more than 50000 goats. -
Farm Preneur Programme
Our School Nutrition garden curriculum provides
a) Nutrition: We impart nutrition education through games. In partnership with Nourishing School Foundation, Bangalore, we have been keeping tab on their health improvements. The vegetable grown in the garden is supplied to the Mid-Day meals. Children are also encouraged to set up Homestead nutrition garden. This enhances the nutritional value of Mid-Day meals at school and meals at home.
b) Education: Through activity-based learning process, students learn science and mathematics using the School Nutrition Garden as an open science and mathematics laboratory.
c) Green entrepreneurship: The vegetable grown in the garden are supplied to the Mid-day meals. Children are paid for the vegetable that they supply. This is not a very big amount but a small sum. But a Rs. 5 earned through the agri enterprise gives the child an inspiration to be an agri entrepreneur in future. Children are imparted with the skills of organic farming and aptitude of an entrepreneur. -
Relief work
a) Flood relief; We have been regularly engaging in flood relief and rehabilitation program. We have reached out to more than 5,00,000 people since the past 10 years.
b) Covid relief; During covid, we organised vaccination drives along with the district authorities. We have distributed medical equipments worth 2.5Cr in the past 4 years.
c) Manipur crisis; In the past one year, foundation has been able to Reachout to 20,000 people in Manipur and have mobilise funds worth 70lakh for relief and rehabilitation efforts.
