The orphanage offers them a loving and secure space, providing meals, education, clothing, and essential supplies. Dedicated staff members, including wardens, caretakers, and cooks, ensure their well-being. Computer training is also part of the curriculum, along with regular health check-ups. By offering education and support until the children find employment, the orphanage helps them transition into adulthood with a brighter future.

Day Care Centre Programme
District
Kurnool
States
Andhra Pradesh
SERUDS operates daycare centres for underprivileged children, aiming to address their neglected food, education, and health needs. The organisation began this initiative in 2003, supporting 80 children aged 1 to 6 years from poor families, where both parents work as labourers. The daycare centres provide a safe environment, hot meals, snacks, and preschool education, while trained staff engage the children in recreational and learning activities. These centres play a vital role, especially since malnutrition affects a significant percentage of children in India. The COVID-19 pandemic has worsened hunger issues, disrupting services like the Integrated Child Development Scheme and school meals. SERUDS' daycare centres offer essential facilities, including clean toilets, nutritious meals, play items, educational materials, and regular medical checkups.
