CARE India focuses on enhancing access to quality healthcare for underprivileged communities through targeted Health interventions. Addressing root causes of healthcare issues, it implements innovative solutions at individual, community, and systemic levels, with a scope covering maternal and reproductive health, child health and nutrition, and early detection and management of communicable diseases.

CARE India’s ‘Girl Education Programme’ (GEP) has been striving for 25 years to ensure quality primary education, particularly for girls and marginalized children, fostering their potential as future leaders. Viewing education as pivotal for girls’ empowerment, it focuses on equipping them with essential skills and mindsets. Its initiatives create inclusive, gender-sensitive learning environments, collaborating with stakeholders to advocate for girl child education and mobilize resources through online donations and other channels. Aligned with the Right to Education Act (2009) and National Education Policy 2020, it works to uphold educational rights and standards.
