Programs

  • Adda

Adda empowers women to discuss and deliberate upon problems in their life. The organisation facilitates a meeting among the community women every Wednesday. The interactions consist of storytelling, films and meditation sessions but are finally directed towards making the women independent and understanding their rights and duties.

  • The Visiting Author Programme

Named ‘Sahitya Sabka, Duniya Sabki’, this programme involves writers, poets and artists who come to the TCLP premises to present their work to an audience. This activity goes out to prove that literature is not just for intellectuals but for all.

  • The Book Club

Is a collection of members who meet twice every month to discuss what they have read and exchange their observations and experiences, It encourages the organisation’s goal, taking the phrase ‘Reading is Thinking’ to the next level.

  • The Reading Project

To encourage reading, TCLP initiated the Reading Project which intends to empower readers, especially first-generation readers enabling them to think.

This programme features adult readers reading aloud to children of different age groups which has transformed into older siblings reading to younger ones, friends reading out aloud to one another and members gathering together to read stories. To motivate reading further, the organisation also runs sub programmes namely ‘The Read Aloud Programme’, ‘Headstart to Reading’ and ‘Hindi Reading Fluency’.
