    Outline India collaborated with the World Resources Institute (WRI) India as their data collection partner for a research project. This study delved into the connection between migration and climate resilience in India, examining both the areas people were leaving (sending regions) and the cities they were migrating to (destination cities). Its primary objective was to document the impact of climate events and gradual environmental changes on migration trends and decisions.
    The study's main emphasis was on providing concrete empirical data to facilitate fair policymaking. By doing so, it aimed to bridge a substantial gap in data and knowledge. Ultimately, this research sought to contribute to the development of policies that promote environmental justice, poverty alleviation, social inclusion, and overall sustainable development.

    Outline India collaborated with CDDEP (Center for Disease Dynamics, Economics, and Policy) to carry out surveys targeting call center employees and supervisors. The primary objective of these surveys was to gain insight into their perspectives on mental health, pollution, and the COVID-19 pandemic, and how these factors influenced their productivity.
    The surveys were conducted via telephone, engaging approximately 1800 respondents across six different cities. Outline India played a crucial role in the project, encompassing pretesting of survey tools, the collection and refinement of data, and the distribution of incentives to the participating respondents.

  • Endline survey on value of electricity and consumers willingness to pay

    Outline India will be conducting a telephonic survey with 3000 stakeholders in the Hoshangabad and Narsinghpur districts of Madhya Pradesh to understand the increasing revenue recovery of electricity distribution companies and measure the willingness of the consumers to pay their bills.
    The challenge is to identify innovative and cost-effective ways of increasing consumers' compliance to pay their full bills on time. The study seeks to explore the welfare effects of such strategic enforcement and how payment behavior varies with enforcement.

  • Baseline survey on water, agriculture and livelihood (WAL)

    Outline India collaborated with the Sehgal Foundation to perform initial surveys in designated target villages as a precursor to the implementation of the "Integrated Village Development Project," which aims to augment water resources.
    The baseline assessment had the specific objective of evaluating the extent of water scarcity's impact on livelihoods, agricultural practices, and related activities. To accomplish this, it conducted comprehensive surveys involving farmers from agricultural households. Additionally, Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) were conducted, involving both male and female farmers, within the Alwar district of Rajasthan.

  • The impact of using AI-based solutions on TB diagnosis care cascade in India

    The primary aim of this survey was to gain insights into the perceptions, knowledge, awareness, and utilization of artificial intelligence in the context of Tuberculosis (TB) diagnosis.
    The survey specifically focused on the following key aspects:
    1. Attitudes and Knowledge regarding the application of AI in TB diagnosis.
    2. Awareness of how AI contributes to expediting and enhancing the efficiency of TB diagnosis.
    3. The extent to which these Informal Providers incorporate AI, if at all, in diagnosing TB in their patients.
    4. The capability and readiness of these providers to employ AI methodologies in TB diagnosis.

    Outline India collaborated with Sesame Workshop India to carry out an Endline study for Project Bright Start/Play.Learn.Connect.
    The overarching objective of this initiative was to showcase a quantifiable improvement in the learning and development of children, with a specific emphasis on socio-emotional learning and the dissemination of health and nutrition knowledge. This was achieved by empowering parents and caregivers within urban slum communities, enabling them to engage in meaningful and playful learning experiences while prioritizing the holistic well-being of their children. The study was conducted in the Narela locality within the Delhi-NCR region.

  • Networks and global health: Experimental evidence of women’s social networks, reproductive health, and well-being in developing countries

    Outline India has partnered with The World Bank, Boston University, and Jamia Millia Islamia University in a collaborative research endeavor. This study seeks to gain insights into various challenges faced by women in the domains of marriage, household relationships, health, and overall well-being.
    The primary objective of this study is to engage with 900 sets of co-residing Mother-in-law and Daughter-in-law pairs, spread across 60-80 villages in Jaunpur District, Uttar Pradesh. Through this interaction, the research aims to comprehensively assess the well-being of women in various facets, including health, education, marital dynamics, household roles, and responsibilities.
