Indus Action is a policy implementation organization that works closely with government and the civil society across India in the primary education sector. It aims to make RTE Read moreSection 12(1)(c) implementable across India by 2020 by enrolling 1 million students in good quality private schools and fostering inclusive practices across schools. To achieve this objective, it partners with social entrepreneurs in expanding the mission to a number of districts across India. Also, with their flagship programs they work towards building foundational literacy, numeracy and pro-social skills in children in the age group of 4-5 years. Further, they strive to develop a supportive academic environment at home via strengthening the parent-child relationship and the socio-emotional development of the child. Some of the programs it has conducted recently are - Project Eklavya (2013-present), Enrollment Campaign (2013-2016), School Readiness Program (2016-present), and Project Eklavya Network (2016-present).
