AIF's education program identifies under-resourced schools and helps them establish basic digital technology enabling teachers and students to access knowledge resources, which in turn creates curiosity and enthusiasm in students to learn more and get educated. Its LAMP (Learning and Migration Program) is developed especially for children, who drop out of their school to migrate with their parents who leave their villages in search of work every year for some months. Such underprivileged children are provided quality education and an opportunity to continue their studies after the family moves back to their village. AIF’s Rebuilding Lives initiative is focussed towards migrant communities and vulnerable populations (with primary focus on women, children and youth) which involves their rehabilitation with help in multiple areas like education, health and livelihoods. In order to create livelihood for underprivileged communities, AIF identifies high-growth industries requiring skilled workforce. It has a training program called Market Aligned Skills Training (MAST), which provides comprehensive skills training to unemployed youth. AIF collaborates with private employment partners and National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC) to provide appropriate employment to such trained people. Under the same initiative, the foundation has a similar training program for people with disabilities. The Ability-Based Livelihood Empowerment (ABLE) builds capacity of NGOs empowering people with disabilities and provides skill development training and access to employment for them. AIF is raising funds for skills training and employment support through its VEER campaign. It also advocates for change in attitude towards people with disabilities. Mother and Newborn Survival Initiative (MANSI) is a preventive and curative care program ensuring proper care for expectant mothers during and after pregnancy. The project trains community health workers who provide timely and emergency care to the people in remote areas. They provide home-based care and promote positive health behaviours among communities. MANSI program is also spreading awareness among communities about various government health schemes. The foundation offers fellowships to young professionals who want to work for advancing social and economic development.

  • Livelihoods

The Livelihoods initiative has affected 2.2 million people's lives since it began in 2006, both directly and indirectly. Livelihoods: uses technology to give vulnerable individuals opportunities, information, and skills so they may manage businesses, get employment, and earn a respectable life.

With the long-term objective of equalizing the informal and formal sectors to give equal opportunity for all citizens, the Livelihoods Program collaborates closely with the public and private sectors to create inclusive and sustainable livelihoods for individuals, families, and communities throughout India. It seeks to repair and elevate the standard of living for vulnerable areas in India by establishing a reimagined ecosystem for entrepreneurship and employment.

  • MANSI - Maternal And Newborn Survival Initiative

AIF's low-cost, multi-award winning community-focused health intervention program, MANSI, tackles the disparities in the underprivileged population of India's access to high-quality, reasonably priced healthcare for mothers and newborns. In order to empower marginalized populations—such as tribal people, rural residents, and people living in remote areas—to make educated decisions about their health, MANSI collaborates with the government to improve public health services.
