World Bank Group works towards analysing the opportunities and challenges for India to achieve poverty reduction and shared social and economic prospe Read morerity in a sustainable manner. It aims to structure an extensive consultation with the government, private sector, civil society and academic experts from across the country in order to achieve its objectives. The WBG focuses on three broad areas under the Country Partnership Framework to create a resource efficient growth path with particular focus on the use of land and water, it aims to enhance competitiveness and job creation while investing in human capital through the provision of basic necessities in health, education, skill development. The Group further aims to address the issue related to environment conservation by paying special attention towards the challenge of air pollution, facilitating jobs for women, increasing the resilience of the financial sector and investing in early years of children’s development. It also works towards developing strategic state partnerships to address state-specific development priorities and support implementation capabilities at the state and local level.
