Frontier Markets operates with a network of 1000 women entrepreneurs who are trained to handle products which use solar technology. These women, calle Read mored Solar Sahelis are selected by the company with the help of NGOs which operate locally. About 20-30 Sahelis are managed by a program manager of the NGO. The Sahelis are trained in handling sales, marketing and technical services of solar energy based products. Some of the products are home systems, clean cookstoves, renewable energy appliances, solar TVs, solar poultry devices, and induction stoves. They are also trained to handle digital data for sales tracking, management and monitoring of the program. The company has created more than 1000 micro entrepreneurs by serving 1,75,000 households. Frontier Markets is also involved in creating retailers and distributors for products in agriculture and consumeer durable sectors. They have E-Mitra/VLE distributors who are recruited, trained and monitored to sell the products. The company has a network of 20 distributors who are supplying products to around 2000 shops so far.

Frontier Markets' vision is to help 100 million rural consumers join the online market experience with a powerful salesforce of 1 million digitally savvy women. Their mission is to create 'Saral Jeevan' or an 'Easy Life' for rural households.

Frontier Markets has expanded to 3 states in India, served 5,000 villages, recorded INR 12 billion in gross merchandise value, and created 18,000 women entrepreneur-led Super Malls & Digital Dukaans.
