The Cummins India Foundation (CIF), established in 1990, serves as the means for Cummins' Corporate Responsibility commitment. It focuses on three key Read more areas: Higher Education, Energy and Environment, and Equality of Opportunity. CIF not only provides financial support for projects in these areas but also actively engages Cummins employees through the Every Employee Every Community initiative (EEEC), encouraging them to dedicate a minimum of four working hours to these projects. Oversight and review of CIF's activities are conducted by the Steering Committee, comprised of senior leaders from the management team. CIF collaborates with civic bodies, NGOs, the Government, and communities to fulfill its mission of "Making people's lives better by powering a more prosperous world." Its goals include creating sustainable wealth for all stakeholders, motivating and empowering employees to improve communities, fostering trust and collaboration through partnerships, and addressing global priorities across communities. Each CIF initiative is designed to be sustainable and replicable, creating a positive impact within the organisation and the broader community.
