It runs a residential skill development training center that has separate hostel facility for both boys and girls. It provides skill development cours Read morees as well as soft skills with the help of trained staff. It claims that all the staff has a post-graduation degree. It further claims that the students after completing the course are placed in different companies. It gives 70% emphasis on practical training and 30% on the theory. It has a mechanical workshop, machine shop, electronics lab, electrical lab, computer lab, classrooms with LCD projectors, drawing hall, metrology lab, welding shop and a library. At the time of On the Job Training (OJT), students are provided with free uniforms, safety shoes, food, accommodation and transportation facility on concessional rate. They also get a stipend of Rs.6000/- per month. OJT students get an opportunity to learn additional skills like 5S, safety rules to be followed at the industry and quality concepts from industry experts. During the OJT, the students opt for any two specialization subjects from a wide range of options like welding, plumbing, surface coating, grid casting, maintenance of CNC machines, injection molding M/c, Maintenance of A/c & refrigeration, press tools injection molding, gravity die casting & pressure die casting, electronic components materials & its specifications, surface, mounting technology and VRLA battery manufacturing process. The soft skill training imparts practical exposure and knowledge on leadership & teamwork, goal setting, positive attitude & motivation, interpersonal skills, self-confidence, creativity, innovation, time management, team-building, group behaviour, body language, presentation techniques, effective mentoring, self-assessment communication skills and confidence building.
