IFF was started by a group of volunteers who worked on the 'SavetheInternet.in' campaign. The campaign brought changes in legal policies enforcing int Read moreernet service providers to treat all data equally. The foundation advocates for bringing changes in policies and fundamental rights of citizens of India. It has built both online and offline public facing campaigns with the help of tech tools, vox style videos, articles and analysis papers. 'KeepUsOnline' and 'SaveTheInternet' are its current campaigns. Whereas, 'Privacy Is Right' campaign is still in stage of development and discussion. IFF is involved in drafting digital rights legislation, parliamentary motions and public interest litigations. It has raised issue of Net Neutrality and is demanding open network, where anyone can use any site or services and the network providers do not supply any competitive advantage to specific apps/services, either through pricing or Quality of Service. It is also asking for changes in laws about censorship and free expression. IFF is raising awareness about online privacy, encryption of personal data and is demanding modification in intellectual property laws to encourage local entrepreneurs.
