Recognizing the significance of India's young population, NIRMAN strives to empower them, addressing social, scientific, and technological challenges. With a vision to cultivate a cadre of socially conscious professionals, NIRMAN aims to equip young individuals with the skills and drive to tackle pressing societal issues. Through an educational process, it encourages a purpose-driven exploration among youth, believing that addressing societal problems can unlock their potential. Programs

  • Youth Flourishing Framework Programme

NIRMAN introduces the Youth Flourishing Framework, addressing the critical need to nurture India's substantial youth population aged 18-29. With 261 million individuals, exceeding Pakistan's total population, a comprehensive approach becomes imperative. Going beyond conventional metrics, the framework spans seven domains, encompassing physical health, character development, and more. Derived from extensive engagement and scientific insights, it comprises 50 elements for holistic well-being assessment. Targeting youth, practitioners, policymakers, and engaged citizens, it empowers individuals to map their growth and fosters a holistic perspective beyond traditional measures. Nirman envisions a future where youth development transcends statistics, emphasizing a diverse landscape of flourishing, and reshaping perceptions of progress and well-being in India.

  • Education Programme

Nirman focuses on nurturing youth leadership for social change, addressing the lack of opportunities for youth flourishing. Through college modules, workshops, and fellowships, it fosters growth in participants' knowledge, attitudes, and behaviour towards effective social contribution. Its impact spans 1610+ participants from diverse backgrounds, with 500+ actively engaged across multiple states in domains like health, education, environment, and governance. The organisation supports these change agents through mentoring and financial aid, aiming to expand its reach and impact. Collaborations with institutions like MUHS and IIT Bombay, along with interest from NGOs in other states, indicate the potential for broader influence and expansion.

  • Krutee Nirman Programme

Nirman, following Gandhi's Nayee Talim philosophy, runs Krutee Nirman, an educational programme that intertwines life and learning. It aims to educate youth about societal issues, sensitizing them to real-life challenges and fostering self-realization through social engagement. The programme's objectives include introducing youth to social problems, encouraging their involvement in social contributions, and nurturing those committed to long-term social work. Since April 2015, over 950 volunteers have dedicated 3880+ person-days to Krutee Nirman's activities. Partnering with organisations like Pragati Abhiyan Nashik, Paani Foundation, and others, it exposes youth to diverse environments, challenges, and solutions, broadening their perspectives and highlighting the societal relevance of their education.

  • Volunteering Programme at SEARCH

Nirman oversees volunteering initiatives within its parent organization, SEARCH, where since April 2015, more than 600 volunteers have dedicated over 5000+ person-days to various activities. These encompass surgery camps, special OPDs, internships, health surveys, tribal outreach, workshops, and sports events. These engagements offer firsthand exposure to rural life, providing insight into social challenges. Volunteers partake in professional endeavours for societal change, interact with accomplished professionals, and immerse themselves in the community life at the SEARCH campus. It's an avenue for youths to connect with NIRMAN, initiating dialogue and seeking guidance from its team members. This volunteering opportunity serves as a valuable educational experience for young individuals.

  • Collaboration Programme with MUHS

Nirman solidified an official collaboration with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) to drive social motivation among medical and health sciences students in affiliated colleges. Through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Nirman commenced a series of lectures, seminars, and discussions across Medical, Dental, and Ayurvedic colleges in Maharashtra. These sessions delve into global and national health challenges, encouraging introspection on personal purpose within the medical field, exploring the role of young medical students in today's healthcare landscape, and identifying students keen on understanding socio-medical challenges for effective problem-solving approaches. This partnership aims to instill a deeper social consciousness among aspiring medical professionals.
