Adivasi Sanrachana Sewa Santhan was established in 1996 with a vision to address and raise awareness among marginalized communities facing challenges Read morein livelihood, farming, women's issues, education, health, migration, and understanding their fundamental rights and government schemes. The organization aims to unify these communities to advocate for their rights. The organization's primary focus is on empowering and creating self-sustainability within village communities. This is achieved through various means such as capacity building, advocacy initiatives, fostering gender equality by empowering both genders equally, local institution building, and mainstreaming gender perspectives. Key issues addressed include creating livelihood opportunities for men and women from Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities through formal and informal activities, environmental conservation, focusing on ecological balance, and tackling women-specific concerns including health and violence. The organization places priority on serving ultra-poor populations, including Tribal, Dalit, and other communities, women, children, unorganized laborers, and individuals with disabilities. Mission • Foster self-reliance and sustainability within the impoverished sections through awareness campaigns and skill-building programs. • Create and endorse sustainable livelihood opportunities to enhance food security among marginalized communities. • Identify and nurture local leadership within villages and enhance the community's ability to manage and implement long-term development strategies. • Empower local community-based organizations, fostering accountability and initiative for societal upliftment. • Advocate against injustices and address issues at various levels through active engagement and voice-raising efforts. • Promote democratic governance at the grassroots level, ensuring transparency and active participation in decision-making processes. • Advocate for gender equality and sensitize all development initiatives towards gender-related issues.
