One such initiative is Anokha Dhaaga, a micro-enterprise project that focuses on livelihood and skill development. Beginning in 2015 with training for 16 women in garment manufacturing and traditional handicrafts in Maval, Maharashtra, it sought to promote local talents and preserve traditional arts. This endeavour has since expanded to Delhi, Gujarat, and Jharkhand, impacting the lives of 1050 women across eight states. These women now supply products to meet stakeholder orders, resulting in a substantial increase in their monthly income, ranging from Rs. 2000 to Rs. 5000 in just 1.5 years. Additionally, Tata Power has collaborated with Saheli World to provide a global platform for Anokha Dhaaga's women entrepreneurs, enabling them to showcase and sell their products with comprehensive training and support.
