QRG Foundation's Havells Mid-Day Meal Programme fights hunger and malnutrition, focusing on children in need. It began in 2005, addressing a lack of manpower and school attendance issues in Rajasthan. Partnering with the Government, it provides daily mid-day meals to over 70,000 students across 700+ schools. Its state-of-the-art kitchen ensures fresh, hygienic, and nutritious food, reflecting Havells' quality commitment. This initiative significantly boosts attendance, reduces dropout rates, and promotes gender equality. A surprise 2022 inspection garnered overwhelmingly positive feedback, affirming the programme's positive impact on the lives it touches.

The QRG Foundation is dedicated to advancing Water, Health, and Hygiene (WASH) programmes in schools. Havells' initiative, beginning in 2014, introduced over 4000 eco-friendly bio-toilets in Alwar's Government schools. These bio-toilets convert waste into biogas and water, addressing sanitation issues. Sensitization workshops aimed at instilling good hygiene habits, supported by creative activities. Havells also contributed funds for toilet maintenance, ensuring cleanliness. Collaborating with Project Baala, it provided eco-friendly sanitary pads and awareness programmes, reaching hundreds of girls in Alwar and across India. These efforts improved attendance, health, cognitive development, and promoted gender equality, fostering better WASH practices in communities.
