The Foundation focuses on Children's Education, Livelihood, Community Development, and Heritage Revival, offering innovative solutions to deeply rooted issues. By collaborating with Government bodies, NGOs, social enterprises, and stakeholders, the RPG Foundation creates impactful interventions. Its approach is centred on addressing genuine societal needs that others may overlook. Drawing strength from their diverse business group, which spans manufacturing, infrastructure, digital, healthcare, and more, RPGians and volunteers combine their knowledge and expertise to develop innovative solutions. Furthermore, RPG Foundation actively seeks collaboration with government and other partners to scale up its efforts, recognizing that meaningful change requires collective action.
Cause Area
Impact
RPG Foundation has trained over 500,000 children in English and equipped more than 15,000 youth with essential skills. It has adopted two Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), providing training to 350 ITI students with an 85% placement rate. In urban areas, over 38,000 women have been skilled, while 1,000 rural women have also received training, resulting in four self-help groups with 40+ active community members. The foundation has impacted 135,000+ lives, oversees four sites, installed 77 wayfinding signages, pledged 1 trillion rupees, deployed 227 artificial reef modules in the Arabian Sea, achieved 2,500-3,000 carbon credits annually, and fostered the growth of 300+ plant species.

Education Programme
RPG Foundation's programme, Pehlay Akshar, is dedicated to addressing the learning crisis in India. It collaborates with Governments to establish "Safe Spaces" and introduces innovative teaching and learning methods in schools, aiming to provide high-quality education. Over the past 12+ years, Pehlay Akshar has strived to ensure every child has access to a comprehensive education that equips them for the demands of the 21st-century workplace. Presently, it operates in six states, partnering with Governments and schools across various urban and rural regions.

Employability - Swayam Programme
RPG Foundation's Swayam Programme empowers women and youth with skill training across sectors, enabling employment. The programme covers healthcare, logistics, construction, and IT. Swayam Health offers training for roles in healthcare, while Swayam Drive prepares women for transport careers. Swayam Digital focuses on the digital workforce, and Swayam Construction addresses the construction sector's needs. Swayam Skills imparts vocational skills, creating job opportunities in various fields.

Heritage Revival Programme
RPG Foundation's Heritage Revival Project is committed to restoring culturally and socially significant sites. Launched as the fourth vertical in 2018, the project seeks to breathe life into historical narratives and offer the public innovative ways to engage with these stories. This includes uplifting community spaces, democratizing access for informed visits, and mobilizing public participation. The Banganga Revival Project focuses on the restoration of the ancient Banganga Precinct in Mumbai, employing art, publications, information dissemination, and heritage-themed civic installations. Additionally, it contributes to preserving Mumbai's Victorian Gothic and Art Deco Ensembles as a UNESCO World Heritage Site by installing informative signages. Its Virtual Tour - Amble mobile app facilitates self-guided walking tours with voice-guided navigation and Augmented Reality, providing an immersive journey through the city's heritage sites.

Community Based Programmes
RPG Foundation directs its efforts toward addressing the pressing needs of communities surrounding RPG Group Companies' operational areas. The Foundation adapts its interventions to align with the evolving needs of these communities and collaborates with local Government bodies and stakeholders to create comprehensive positive changes. Recently, its focus has centred on combating the COVID-19 pandemic, which involves distributing food and ration, donating medical equipment, and establishing Fever Clinics. Additionally, its longstanding outreach programmes encompass providing clean drinking water, sanitation for schools and communities, a Supplementary Nutrition Programme for school children, an Adolescent Health Initiative, a Community Health Initiative, rainwater harvesting units, solar street lights, support for girl child education, and Project Netranjali.
