Cooling as a Service (CAAS)
CoolCrop installs the cold storage unit in conjunction with a Farmer/FPC (user). The user is in charge of managing and using the device. The user and numerous other farmers keep F&V in cold storage.
The user keeps tabs on how much the cold storage unit is used each month. For the amount of produce that is stored, the user pays CoolCrop. The quantity and kind of crops being held, the unit's size, and the length of storage are taken into account when calculating the amount.
