    Uttar Pradesh

RightWalk Foundation has been instrumental in the impactful implementation of the Right to Education (RTE) Act, specifically RTE 12.1.(c), in Uttar Pradesh. Our intervention over several years has led to a remarkable surge in admissions, from 54 in 2014 to an impressive 600,000 in 2023 for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) children.

Operating at the policy level, RightWalk initiated a transformative movement to overcome significant obstacles, ensuring the comprehensive activation of the RTE program across the entire state. This endeavor resulted in a swift increase in RTE admissions across all districts of Uttar Pradesh.

Our resolute commitment was underscored by our victory in a significant legal battle that reached the highest court, the Supreme Court. This achievement serves as a testament to our steadfast dedication to guaranteeing the universal right to free and compulsory education for all.

Our mission is to redefine the Apprenticeship landscape in India by 2025. We commit to nurturing the potential of vulnerable youth, imparting crucial 21st-century skills in authentic work environments. With a special focus on inclusivity, we aim to uplift women and differently-abled individuals, forging a dynamic, diverse, and skilled workforce ready to thrive in the evolving professional landscape.

On the frontlines, our impact is substantial: 86,638 apprentices are actively engaged in on-the-job training, supported by 8,104 establishments participating in the apprenticeship scheme through the NAPS website. Additionally, 287,000 students have enrolled via the NAPS website for industry-led training, preparing them for successful careers. Complementing these efforts, we have hosted 15 Apprenticeship and Rojgar Melas, pivotal events that disseminate valuable information, connecting youth directly with apprenticeship opportunities and employment prospects.
