  • Special Care Centre Programme

    Its special care centre Dhvani provides diagnosis, pre and post-cochlear implant management, therapy and support to hearing and speech impaired and intellectually disabled children. It also conducts specialised surgeries and provides hearing aids.

    It offers services of complete audiological evaluation, auditory verbal therapy and conducts school readiness sessions for efficient movement of the differently abled child into a mainstream school.

    The Foundation works with children who need extra support in their studies through programmes for the holistic development of preschool and primary children. It provides individualized attention to each child, increased experiential learning opportunities, intensive teacher training, coaching and mentoring support through stakeholder and community engagement.

    It manages Patang, a remedial education programme to help primary-grade students cover their learning gaps.

Impact

Its special care programme provided services to 370+ children, 40+ Cochlear Implants, 32 surgeries and 100% mainstreaming in regular schools. Its education programme has reached 24,900+ pre-primary school children, impacted over 11,775 children, trained 750+ teachers, mentored 475 Balwadi teachers, and made 88% of students school-ready. Its Anti-trafficking initiative has impacted 1,20,000 people across 650 villages spread over 10 districts. Its women empowerment programme reached 18,000+ Women with 7 out of every 10 women being placed successfully and 70% of women used the opportunity to be economically independent.
