Programs

  • Women Build Programme

Volunteering experience unites women from urban and rural areas to help realize women's dreams of owning sustainable homes. Known as Women Build, its mission is to empower women by championing their rights in the realm of social housing. Recognizing that women's access to and control over housing are vital for breaking the cycle of poverty and gender-based abuse, this initiative mobilizes women volunteers from the same communities to assist individual women in constructing sustainable homes.

  • Women of Tomorrow Programme

WeRise's "Women of Tomorrow" programme awards six annual scholarships to aspiring women engineers based on academic excellence and community involvement. Recipients receive full-tuition scholarships covering tuition, hostel, travel, and educational expenses. The programme also offers mentorship, leadership development, internships, and access to the WeRise Book Bank. Selection criteria include aspiring women engineers from disadvantaged backgrounds with a minimum 80% aggregate and successful aptitude tests. WeRise's career enrichment programmes prepare scholars for corporate life with mock interviews, internships, and soft skill improvement.

  • Social Housing Model Programme

The Social Housing Model encompasses several essential elements, including technological empowerment, which guides marginalized individuals in achieving their home construction aspirations. It also emphasizes financial inclusion by providing access to Government Schemes and micro-finance options for those excluded from formal financial systems. Additionally, the model integrates beneficiaries directly into the construction process, fostering a sense of ownership and reducing costs through sweat equity. Sustainability is a key focus, promoting eco-friendly, energy-efficient homes constructed with locally sourced recyclable materials and green technology. Moreover, the model prioritizes community building, creating supportive environments with spaces designed for social interaction, education, and training for individuals of all age groups.
