Programs

  • Environment

SST puts a lot of effort into working with communities on a variety of sustainable green initiatives.

We promote planting trees and raise awareness of deforestation and soil erosion. Above all, we educate communities to be mindful of their surroundings. This entails conserving water and soil while making sensible use of available natural resources.

In villages, we have also implemented vermicomposting, rubbish collection, and disposal. Our communities are aware of how important a clean environment is.

Teaching farmers more effective techniques, including creating check dams and collecting rainwater, is a major part of what we do. Farmers can obtain government funding for initiatives like drip irrigation and soil testing with our help. They increase crop yields without overfertilizing the land in this way.

  • Education

In rural areas, girls miss school, school dropout rates are still high, and many students do not complete their secondary education. SST is collaborating with government schools and parents to get rid of these disparities.

Parent-teacher conferences are one way we raise awareness. Our goal is to encourage parents to enrol their children in school and to stay there. By making improvements to school infrastructure, we are assisting in making schools better places to learn. We provide career counselling to students to increase their employability once they graduate.

We also place a strong focus on education that imparts life and social skills. Every child now has an improved opportunity in society as a result.

We emphasize functional literacy in our adult education centres to help senior citizens become self-sufficient.
