Anudaan ' Making Transplants Affordable
The landscape of organ donation and transplantation in India is marked by both inspiring solidarity and a significant financial barrier. While organs are being transplanted across diverse identities, the prohibitive costs of transplants, largely confined to the private sector, exclude a vast majority of patients, particularly from marginalized backgrounds, from accessing life-saving procedures. With few public hospitals offering transplants, the need for state intervention to make transplants affordable is evident. In this context, MOHAN Foundation's initiative, Anudaan, aims to bridge this gap by providing support to economically disadvantaged patients. Supported by philanthropic contributions, Anudaan seeks to expand access to transplantation for those in need, highlighting the importance of collective action in addressing healthcare inequalities.
