Our Voix works to help prevent children become victims of child sexual abuse by empowering them with the knowledge of good touch and bad touch and als Read moreo involving society to help children out. It spreads awareness to children of classes one to four by conducting workshops in schools, welfare homes, NGO’s, localities where they are taught to be aware of their body parts, good and bad touch and to know the difference between the two, identify abuse and take remedial action. Sessions are also conducted for parents to make them aware of how to comfortably bring out cases of abuse if their children are undergoing the same, in a friendly manner. Corporates are also involved in the workshops to sensitize them on the topic of child abuse. Workshops for college students are conducted to enable them to prevent child abuse as future parents. The college students are also inducted as volunteers to help children if they are interested to do so. It also provides free psychological advice to children and adolescents to make them aware of sexual abuse and if they are victims, ways to come out of the trauma to live a better life. To have a wider reach, The organisation has developed short videos which can be viewed by children online at their convenience. It also stages plays, prints comics and books, prepares podcasts and stickers creating awareness about the evils of child abuse and its prevention. Eminent personalities are invited to address children and audiences to prevent the cases of abuse and encourage people to be aware of this issue. Its work has been featured on platforms such as Times of India, Femina, Ndtv, Fever FM 104, The Logical Indian, Yahoo, Brut India and has been selected in the top 10 innovators, innovation market place for gender equality by UNDP. Its short movies have been featured on the official website of National Commission for Protection of Child Rights and on Hungama.
