Shivar Foundation was set up to stem the frequent cases of farmers committing suicide due to crop failure, debts, lack of awareness or sometimes Gover Read morenment inaction. It has a team of volunteers who go to villages and connect with farmers to listen and understand their grievances. Assistance is provided through funds received as donation, follow up with authorities and banks in case of non-receipt of loan money or crop failure and indebtedness. In cases where a farmer has committed suicide and has left behind a destitute family the organisation counsels them to save for education or sponsors machinery and school fees to provide the family with a way to sustain themselves.

Financial Assistance: Providing ₹10,000 to ₹20,000 for purchasing seeds, fertilizers, and essential farming supplies to help affected families continue agriculture.
Support for Widows: Ensuring that widows of farmers do not have to rely on moneylenders or beg for survival.
Alternative Income Sources: Educating and supporting affected families to develop secondary income streams, reducing financial dependence on farming alone.
On-Ground Analysis: Conducting door-to-door surveys to assess the specific needs of struggling farmers and providing targeted aid. -

StateThe Farmer Motivate Plan focuses on boosting the morale of farmers and preventing suicides through direct engagement and counselling:
Youth-Led Volunteering: Over 3,000 young professionals have quit their jobs to work on this initiative, particularly in drought-affected Maharashtra (Vidarbha and Marathwada).
Personal Counseling: Volunteers like Vinayak Hegana conduct one-on-one counselling sessions to uplift farmers, offering solutions to their agrarian crises.
Community-Based Support: Through social media and NGO partnerships, teams are formed to assure farmers that they are not alone and that sustainable solutions exist.
Crisis Intervention: Immediate assistance is provided to farmers on the brink of distress, preventing them from taking extreme measures.
