It works to convert these polluting materials into modern and quality footwear without chemical treatment or any pollution causing process. The footwear products created by Paaduks are both comfortable and stylish. It aims to help the environment and move towards hundred percent sustainability. It employs poor shoemakers from Kurla who handcraft each pair of footwear with great care, they are paid and rewarded according to their work, following fair trade practices. These shoemakers are able to come out of the cycle of exploitation by retailers and wholesalers due to the efforts of Paaduks and now lead a financially independent and dignified life. It maintains an online website where the products can be purchased online and delivered to the customers home. It is now also looking at using cork, and together, with locally and ethically-sourced raw materials like jute, cotton, and more to further its range of products.
