    DEEDS Public Charitable Trust empowers the deaf community in India through its education initiatives. It offers free education through the Bajaj Institute of Learning (BIL), which provides schooling, vocational training, and hostel facilities for deaf children. BIL follows the CBSE and NIOS systems, using Indian Sign Language as the medium of instruction. Additionally, DEEDS College Preparatory Programme enables deaf students to pursue higher education in commerce. The programme has 200 enrolled students who receive specialized education in a secure environment. Furthermore, DEEDS conducts the Basic English Literacy Course (BELC), which offers free coaching in English language skills to deaf students, benefiting over 2,500 individuals across various schools and adult centres in Mumbai.

Its Placement Programme focuses on finding suitable jobs and providing training to make deaf youth eligible and successful in their chosen roles. The Work Readiness Programme, initiated in 2017, equips students with workplace behaviour, etiquette, and communication skills, preparing them for professional environments. The Placement Cell, established in 2005, assists deaf students in finding preferred roles and provides ongoing support through mentorship and counselling. DEEDS has successfully placed over 1,700 individuals in renowned organisations. Additionally, its Professional Integration Programme ensures smooth integration into the workplace, offering guidance and sensitizing colleagues to work effectively with deaf colleagues. DEEDS continues to follow up with employers and candidates to monitor progress and provide ongoing support and counselling.
