Delhi
The Legislative Assistants to Members of Parliament (LAMP) Fellowship offers an opportunity for young Indians to gain hands-on experience in law-making and public policy. LAMP Fellows are selected to work with a Member of Parliament (MP) as their mentor for a year, supporting them in their parliamentary work. The fellows provide extensive research assistance to their assigned MPs, including drafting parliamentary questions, preparing speeches, and contributing to the legislative process by drafting bills. During non-session periods, LAMP Fellows engage with policymakers, experts, academicians, and leaders from various think tanks and public policy institutions. They participate in workshops and discussions on crucial policy and development issues, broadening their understanding of governance. Field visits provide practical exposure to governance at the grassroots level, enhancing their knowledge and perspective.
