Rest of My Family is a travel-based, not-for-profit entity that uses art as a means to promote social work and raise awareness about the negative impa Read morects of a selfish and competitive model. Through documentaries, art collaborations, and community development projects, it aims to explore the drawbacks of a capitalistic and selfish way of life while seeking alternative modes of community living. Its primary goal is to shift society's foundation from selfish competition to mutual cooperation. The organisation poses questions such as the impact of treating everyone's problems as one's own and the change that occurs when considering society as one's own family. The organisation's work revolves around travelling to rural and tribal areas based on research about the resident communities. It lives with the local communities for an extended period to gain a deeper understanding of their issues. This allows it to effectively document the ground reality through documentary films, photo stories, and artistic collaborations and raise awareness in public spaces. During its stay, it identifies development projects that empower and support individuals and communities. These projects are implemented in collaboration with local social organisation partners, funding partners, and crowdfunding, with close monitoring of execution and progress.
