Through our comprehensive life skills-based programs, we're striving to cultivate an empowering environment that fosters girls' education, with a particular emphasis on driving change in menstrual health behaviors. Moreover, we're collaborating with state governments to improve access to female-friendly restroom facilities and provide essential sanitary products. With a significant impact already made on the lives of over 350,000 women and girls, we've successfully reduced school absenteeism by 35%. Our ongoing mission is to reach one million adolescent girls within the next five years.

  • Periodshala: Enabling Adolescent Friendly Public School

    Despite having 25% of the world's adolescent population in India, 32 million enrolled adolescent girls in rural India face significant challenges in accessing comprehensive education on their bodies & bodily processes like MH & SRH. Lack of accurate information, social stigma and support systems lead to around 10 million girls aged 10-16 being absent from government schools on any given day in rural India, ultimately risking their dropout or limited participation in school thus becoming a barrier to achieving good health and wellbeing.

    Our solution, Periodshala, focuses on creating safe & adolescent friendly school environments with Menstrual health as an entry point by
    1. Transforming Mindset: Empower girls with essential life skills, foster shame resilience, & establish support systems involving teachers, boys, & mothers.
    2. Transforming Facilities: Provide preventive healthcare services through our telemedicine helpline, Hello Saathi. While facilitating enhanced access to period products, proper disposal, & female-friendly toilet infrastructure through data driven advocacy & collaboration with local government authorities.
