“SANKALAPA” is one of the Voluntary Organizations, registered under Karnataka Societies Registration Act (KSR) 1960. SANKALAP has been working in the Read morearea of inclusive education for specially-abled and rural development, over the last 13 years (2007-08). We have been working for economically marginalized people with disabilities and building the capacity of different stakeholders including ASHA, Anganwadi Workers School Teachers, and the Public. We have provided various community services for persons of special ability and other target group families from both rural and urban areas. As part of its strategy, we have organized the community and families. We have worked over the years and formed a group of 2000 beneficiaries- landless, marginalized, and vulnerable. We work with People with Disability (PwDs), Disabled Parents organization (DPOs) in partnership with state and Central Government, NGOs network & other service providers. Rural & urban unprivileged peoples social security’s services, Education, Rehabilitation’s, Oral Health and Hygiene and to spread awareness, Mobility Aids and appliances, Skill training, provision of pension, unique Disability Identity Cards (UDID), organized and created disability awareness service for students and young peoples. Also, we imparted input to target families about the environment, livelihood, and self-employment opportunities, guidance, and support, etc. Our registration process is under the National Trust Act. It has been striving hard to create an enabling environment for CWSN (Children with Special Need) and working for creating a better world for the specially-abled through education, Advocacy, and entitlements. It also works closely with many organizations and networks in Davangere District and State for the access to and rights of specially-abled as per the Disability Act 2016.
