Animal Casualties

Animal Overpopulation
Overpopulation of street animals is also a cause of concern for the organisation, which regularly conducts areawise census exercises to get to know the number of stray animals. Spay and Neuter programmes are conducted to limit the sexual behaviour of stray street animals in an attempt to reduce their numbers leading to healthier animals and controlled populations.
-
Animal Homelessness

It manages shelters where sick, injured and neglected animals are given protection and attention while also running awareness campaigns to make the public aware of the plight of the animals on the streets.

The organisation feels that lack of information and insensitivity to the situation also contributes to the problems of strays. It conducts awareness sessions and tries to teach co-existence with street animals and also runs campaigns and workshops in schools to sensitize the children and the public to be empathetic to strays and street animals.
