Spark A Change Foundation works to empower and enable school going children from economically challenged communities with access to quality education, Read more life skills and values through a dedicated group of individuals. Its main programs are Foundational Learning, Board Ready & Anviksha Early education. These include English teaching programmes, in-school learning support, a free community preschool, scholarships for higher education and thorough coaching for higher secondary education while the latter consists of rigorous coaching for students of class 8 through 12, career guidance, vocational skills, basic numeracy and literacy skills, sports, arts, science and life skill sessions, learning through field trips and nutrition support.

Spark-A-Change's mission is to empower low-income children through joyful interactions with educated adults, fostering transformational change by imparting knowledge, values, and skills. Their vision is to ensure every child is educated with access to equal opportunities for a better future, nurturing responsible global citizens.

Programs

  • Foundational Learning Program

    District

    It is a fully volunteer led - after school Program. Includes pure academic support by volunteers preparing the children through their Primary & Middle School on an everyday Basis. This program aims at building & strengthening the basic concepts of Math. Also reading , speaking & comprehension of English.
    We expose them to other skills of Dance, Yoga, Art & Life Skills as well.
    The program provides an excellent opportunity for volunteers to engage with the children through carefully crafted modules. Its a Robust curriculum delivered by educated & trained volunteers in a positive , encouraging atmosphere.
    Stationary , Study Material , workbooks etc are provided free of cost to our participating students.
    We are currently at 700 students in 24-25 and will touch 1000 students in 25-26.

  • Anviksha Early Education Program

    District

    In alignment with our belief in the importance of quality early education and FLN goals of the NIPUN Bharat initiative, SAC collaborated with the BMC to adopt 50 pre-primary classrooms across 14 English Medium schools in Mumbai in 2024 - 2025; benefiting 2000+ children.
    The program involved classroom teacher support, curriculum development and delivery, teacher recruitment & training and implementing pedagogy in line with NIPUN Bharat outcomes
    Co-curricular activities around sports, art and movement, games, critical thinking etc were also integrated with the academic program
    The success of the program strengthens our mission to scale this program for the upcoming years as well.
    We are currently at 48 classrooms reaching 2000 + students.
    We plan to scale the program to over 70 classrooms in the year 25-26 and strengthen community engagement activities to impact almost 3500 children and their families.
