The Koshika Foundation, registered as a Public Charitable Trust with the Sub-Registrar of Delhi-South, is dedicated to philanthropic endeavors, partic Read moreularly in the field of Eye Care and support for Charitable Clinics serving the underprivileged in India. Recognized as a "General Public Utility Trust" under sections 12A and 12AA of The Income Tax Act, 1961, the foundation operates with the aim of micro-charity for macro-good. Aligned with the global initiative "Vision 2020" by the World Health Organization to eliminate avoidable blindness, the foundation sponsors free Eye Surgeries for disadvantaged individuals and organizes free Eye Camps in rural areas. Additionally, it provides support to local communities by distributing free medicines through Charitable Clinics. Financially supported by contributions from the foundation's Trustees, supplemented by public donations, Koshika ensures that 100% of donations directly benefit the intended recipients. Administrative expenses are covered separately by Trustees or through specific grants. Operating on a methodology of identifying needy patients through Eye camps and Charitable OPDs, the foundation sponsors free surgeries at partner Hospitals, providing transportation, lodging, and meals for rural patients. Koshika Foundation provides comprehensive feedback to donors, including photographs and details of surgeries performed, within 60 days of donation receipt, expressing gratitude on behalf of the beneficiaries. The vision of the organization is for a sustainable world where everyone has access to quality health services, while their mission focuses on enabling children with congenital heart defects to live healthy lives, preventing blindness in underserved populations, promoting community health, and leveraging collective resources for the betterment of society's less fortunate.

Eye Screening Camps
In order to provide doorstep eye-care to those in need, Koshika Foundation conducts out-reach Camps for free eye check-ups, primarily targeting rural areas and urban slum clusters. These camps are staffed by a team comprising doctors and para-medical personnel who conduct screenings for patients. The screenings typically include assessments of visual acuity, ophthalmoscopy (if necessary), refraction, and cataract screening, all of which are provided free of charge. Additionally, shortlisted patients undergo checks for blood pressure, blood sugar levels, and intraocular pressure to ensure comprehensive care.

Community Healthcare
Koshika Foundation actively promotes community healthcare by providing support to charitable Outpatient Department (OPD) clinics. Through these clinics, patients receive free medicines prescribed by doctors. The foundation ensures that medications are distributed according to the patients' prescriptions, aiming to address their healthcare needs effectively and contribute to the well-being of the community.
