Our organisation, SHAHEED BHAGAT SINGH SEWA DAL , has been specifically extending the following free-of-charge emergency services to needy people fre Read moree of cost in the Delhi-NCR region since our inception in 1997. •          Management of the Dead -          Funeral Vans for ferrying dead bodies to cremation/ burial grounds -          Cremation of underprivileged, unclaimed and abandoned dead-bodies -         Mobile Morgue Refrigerators for short-term preservation of dead bodies at home before their last rites are performed. •          Emergency Services -          Ambulance Service for transporting emergency and non-emergency care patients. -          Voluntary Blood Donation Camps for collecting and providing blood to needy people. •          Disaster Management Our Disaster Management Cell and Emergency Response Teams execute emergency response during emergencies providing a unique service of Dead-body Management-transporting and cremating dead bodies of casualties that succumb to disaster, mass cremations, Ambulance Services, Rescue Services, Medical Care, Free of Cost-Disaster relief and aid, Humanitarian Response- set up camps, provide food, aid and relief, camp management, WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) Services. •         Covid-19 Pandemic We have been extending the exceptional Funeral Van (Hearse-van) Service for transporting Corona Infected Dead-Bodies from Mortuaries and Home isolation to Cremation/Burial Grounds, Cremation of COVID-19 dead-bodies, Mobile Morgue Refrigerators for preserving dead bodies and immersion of ashes absolutely free-of-charge in the NCT of Delhi. Where even the family members of such COVID-19 dead bodies are afraid to come closer to the corpses, our Emergency Response Teams have been transporting these dead bodies to their final destination and cremating them in accordance with Corona Protocol on a Free-of-Charge basis. To date, our Emergency teams have transported above 5000 Covid Positive Patients and cremated and transported above 4500 Covid-19 Positive Dead bodies from home isolation/hospitals that were unclaimed, underprivileged or where families were quarantined, under deep fear or located abroad and could not come forward to perform the cremation. Our services have been well acknowledged by the Hon'ble Vice President of India and featured on various social media platforms and international news agencies. For extending these exemplary services for the dead bodies, our Organization's President and founder has been awarded the Prestigious Padma Shri (the fourth-highest civilian award in the Republic of India) • Disaster Preparedness Our Disaster Management Experts and Professionals impart free-of-charge Disaster Preparedness training to the communities, religious institutions, RWAs, local bodies, educational institutions, government departments and other institutional entities thereby preparing them to prepare for and respond during an emergency or a disaster like an earthquake, fire, floods, medical emergencies including first-aid in the aftermath of a disaster. 2.        Our organization has an equipped Disaster Management Cell and various Emergency Response Teams for executing quick emergency response at disaster sites our Teams effectively respond in emergencies as we have trained and equipped personnel that effectively execute the process of wrapping the dead bodies, disinfecting the premises, transporting the dead-body till cremation/burial ground and performing their last rites. Our Disaster Management Cell and various emergency response teams have been doing phenomenal work in the management of the dead during such times of emergency events. We have successfully managed major disasters in India and abroad including Major Earthquakes, Floods, Building Collapses, Fire Incidents, Epidemics, Pandemic and Complex Emergencies.
