The Lions Club of Ghaziabad, which was established in 1963, recently organised its inaugural Eye Relief Camp in Ghaziabad. The overwhelming response a Read morend demand prompted the decision to establish a permanent Eye Hospital in the city. The club aims to achieve several objectives, including fostering understanding among people worldwide, promoting good governance and citizenship, and actively supporting the civic, cultural, social, and moral well-being of the community. It also strives to cultivate bonds of friendship, fellowship, and mutual understanding while providing a platform for open discussions on matters of public interest. The club's vision, known as Vision 2020, focuses on combating blindness and restoring sight to visually impaired individuals through world-class, affordable eye care services. Its mission is rooted in equity, ethics, cutting-edge technology, and compassionate care, with a commitment to improving health and satisfaction levels. The eye hospital spread over approximately 12,000 square feet, offers a range of multi-speciality services, including state-of-the-art operation theatres, advanced equipment, comfortable wards, a dedicated space for eye surgeons, administrative facilities, and a spacious waiting area. With its lush green lawn, the hospital stands ready to serve the public by providing affordable, high-quality eye care for all.

Lions Diabetes Physician Care Centre
The Lions Eye Hospital established a state-of-the-art Lions Diabetes Care Center in 2017 in collaboration with Lions International Association. Equipped with the latest machines, the centre offers services such as B.P./Sugar/ECG checks and analysis of the body and foot for diabetes. A specialist doctor is available throughout the week, except on Saturdays, providing regular consultations and treatment to over 9000 patients. Additionally, 53 camps have been conducted for different social organisations in Ghaziabad over the past eighteen months.

Spot Vision Screening Programme
The Lions Eye Hospital has implemented the Spot Vision Screener, a handheld device that facilitates the rapid and effortless identification of vision problems in patients. Moreover, the hospital conducted 128 camps across multiple schools in Ghaziabad and Noida. These camps involved the examination of 34,362 children, revealing that 15% of them exhibited vision defects.

Lions Retina Care Centre
The hospital's retina laser service boasts an advanced Argon-Laser System specifically engineered for Retinal Photocoagulation. The Lions Eye Care Center(LEH) has a team of skilled eye surgeons who have conducted over 100,000 successful cataract surgeries. It uses premium IOLs from renowned companies like ALCON, ABOTT, and BAUSCH & LOMB. The hospital offers toric and multi-focus IOLs at a lower cost. Additionally, experienced O.T. assistants, refractionists, and administrative staff support the doctors in daily OPD consultations and eye surgeries.
