Programs

  • Let's Talk: Ambassador Programme

Let's Talk is an initiative by Pratisandhi where students become ambassadors and, with mentorship and guidance, create projects and initiate conversations about sexual health. Each ambassador focuses on a specific theme within the SRHR spectrum, raising awareness within their immediate communities for a four-month period.

  • Bridging Gaps Programme for Educational Institutions

The Bridging Gaps Program is aligned with the UN Technical Guidelines for Sexuality Education and aims to support students in developing healthy relationships with their sexuality. It provides accessible, rights-based, and inclusive resources, empowering students to make informed choices and maintain respectful and non-discriminatory social and sexual relationships. The programme combines peer mentorship with addressing the challenges of sexual and reproductive healthcare among adolescents.

  • Annual Menstrual Awareness Drive

The Foundation organises an annual menstrual awareness campaign to promote access to menstrual hygiene products, benefiting orphanages, semi-urban communities, and homeless shelters.

  • Contraception and Family Planning Programme

Through a collaborative effort with more than 20 shelters in Delhi NCR, Pratisandhi Foundation spearheaded an awareness campaign focusing on family planning, contraceptive options, safe sexual practices, and mutual responsibility. This initiative successfully reached over 700 individuals.

  • S.A.C.R.E.D Project

The S.A.C.R.E.D Project, implemented by Pratisandhi, focuses on delivering comprehensive educational sessions to children aged 7-12, covering topics such as personal safety, consent, safe and unsafe touches, and safety rules. The project actively engages with parents to enhance their role in preventing and identifying abuse in children, as well as responding effectively. Pratisandhi collaborates with community partners to mobilize support for awareness sessions, while also offering project partnerships to national and international supporters who seek to replicate the project with the organisation's guidance, including a facilitation toolkit, hands-on training, and ongoing support.
