The goal of PSA is to improve the impoverished people's quality of life. PSA believes that interventions to break the cycle of poverty are interconnec Read moreted and include economic development, better health care, education, and organic agriculture. This approach to poverty reduction is evident in the range of initiatives that PSA offers. The original conceptual foundation of PSA was the conviction that marginalised groups in rural areas may become conscious and, as a result, be motivated to negotiate circumstances to their advantage. But a few years later, it became clear that for the impoverished to achieve a sustainable standard of living, they also needed sufficient and relevant skills.

Evening coaching class for rural students
StateEvery year, during May, the summer vacation, a one-month coaching programme for pupils from rural areas is held. The programme is coached by educated volunteers. The main goal is to keep pupils in the official school system by offering remedial support.
Since the students are essentially first- or second-generation learners and have no one to support them at home, the remedial evening classes help to keep them off the streets and provide them with academic support.
Milestones & Track Record
PSA has been working for over 40 years to empower marginalized communities in Tiruchirappalli through sustainable development programs.
