The Trust's main goal is to give children from low-income families free remedial education. The Trust empowers young kids with theatre, music, and the Read more arts in addition to helping them achieve academic success. Additionally, it provides limited financial aid to a select group of students based on their needs and improvement potential. Most of the kids that IRMET is targeting are formally enrolled in state-run schools. Most state-run schools have a long history of many, well-documented issues. These schools usually have a dearth of physical resources, poor administration, and a teaching staff that is not very motivated. As a result, they have a high primary school dropout rate and a bad reputation for failing to teach their pupils basic literacy skills, even after five or six years of education. The Trust primarily aims to foster a love of learning in youngsters to motivate them to remain in the educational system. This is accomplished by making learning more engaging for kids and assisting them in uncovering untapped abilities in subjects outside of the curriculum, both of which improve academic performance. A tiny group of the Trust's non-schooling kids, mostly young females, work as domestic helpers in the community.
Action
The primary activity of the Trust is to provide free remedial education and a comprehensive extra-curricular program for children from extremely poor families, employing 16 full-time teachers and 5 volunteers to teach about 150 children in three shifts.
