The programme aims to restore 426 acres across various landscapes: rejuvenating degraded lands in the Western Ghats affected by invasive species, planting diverse flora in forests invaded by Lantana, conserving ecologically vital riverine areas, diversifying coffee estates dominated by exotic species, conserving sacred groves with over native species, and stabilizing landslide-prone lands using native grasses. This includes planting species such as wild edible fruits, riverine species, rare, endangered and threatened trees, and medicinal plants, fostering biodiversity while reducing soil erosion, enhancing habitat diversity, improving pollination, and ensuring soil stabilization across private lands, estates, sacred groves, and degraded areas, promoting sustainable ecological balance.
