ULF focuses on providing healthcare to underprivileged communities, particularly aiding children, women, and senior citizens in accessing necessary medical support and treatment. It aims to connect them with suitable healthcare facilities at minimal cost, conducting background verifications for those in need. To fulfill this mission, it collaborates with philanthropic, private, and Government bodies, offering support, be it financial or otherwise, tailored to individual requirements identified through background checks. The challenge lies in addressing disparities in healthcare access and the burden of diseases, largely influenced by inadequate budget allocations for health services.

ULF commits to addressing the nutritional needs of marginalized groups by providing balanced, nutrition-rich food crucial for their physical and mental development. Ensuring a balanced diet comprising energy, protein, essential fats, vitamins, and minerals is fundamental for their overall health and well-being.

The challenge is significant, with India carrying a substantial burden of nearly 195 million undernourished individuals, contributing significantly to global hunger statistics. Approximately 4 out of 10 children in India face chronic undernutrition or stunting, impacting their potential growth and development. Stunting can lead to long-term consequences, including learning limitations, poor academic performance, reduced future earnings, and heightened risks of chronic illnesses.

Education stands as a cornerstone of empowerment and enlightenment, shaping perspectives and lives. ULF recognizes its significance and extends aid, both monetary, covering admission fees, and non-monetary, providing books, stationery, and uniforms, to support education. Collaborative partnerships are sought to ensure beneficiaries complete their educational journeys.

The challenge lies in the dropout rates, with over one-third of children discontinuing elementary education prematurely. A significant proportion of out-of-school children hail from vulnerable and marginalized groups, including Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, religious minorities, and children with disabilities.

By gathering funds and donations from philanthropists, ULF responds to disasters and natural calamities, catering to the urgent needs of affected communities. It conducts risk assessments for vulnerable areas and runs awareness campaigns, empowering communities to take preventive measures during disasters.

India's susceptibility to various disasters, influenced by its geographical, climatic, and socio-economic conditions, presents a significant challenge. Over the past three decades, the country has experienced 431 major disasters, resulting in substantial loss of life and property. Statistics from Prevention Web reveal that approximately 143,039 people lost their lives, and about 150 million individuals were affected by these disasters. The ensuing destruction led to immense financial losses, exceeding US $4.8 billion, impacting property and infrastructure.
