Urban Observatory Programme
District
Hyderabad
States
Telangana
HUL's Urban Observatory programme consists of a number of interconnected activities, such as data centres, studies and campaigns, and solutions that are community-driven. These initiatives complement one another, with data centres guiding studies and campaigns, and activities and interventions creating new data and study prospects. HUL understands the rapid growth of cities and strives to engage with them on a continuous basis. It establishes channels for study, campaigning, and actions, as well as a detailed record of the information collected. This work includes special projects like "Do Din" and A Place for Her, as well as art@hul and gis@hul, which combine creative and academic procedures. These endeavours combine to produce the many components of the urban observatory.

Khidki is a HUL platform that promotes thought, teamwork, and a variety of opinions on urgent issues. It acts as a means for transforming academic findings into real-world information and influencing arguments. The Khidki Collective was born out of round table discussions about the Deccan region, with the goal of redefining its distinct identities and questioning conventional conceptions. It promotes the role of the environment and society in developing regions by hosting talks, lectures, and putting out content. The collective, led by young researchers, analyses topics concerning identity and stretches the boundaries of imagination beyond traditional concepts, with the help of mentors and friends.
